New Delhi, 2017: Goldseat is a licensed on-the-go offline entertainment application for premium travel services across Air, Bus and Railway Network in India. Headquartered in Delhi, the company bridges the gap and provides latest HD content which runs seamlessly without any data cost and even without connectivity. The services of the application are currently available in Northern, Southern and Western regions of India and will soon be available in Gujarat and Lucknow expanding its services PAN India in near future. Goldseat is looking to tap the hugely untapped market of over 500 million passengers in travel sector in India which is predominantly dominated by road travel followed by Railway and Air. Goldseat has already begun the services in 170 buses catering to about 5000 passengers daily and will be looking to reach 1000 buses in next 12 months expanding its potential reach to 30000 people daily
The Goldseat app works through the installation of a device in the buses and provides free WiFi to the users. The wifi is a multi-band network and is enabled with the URA filtering technology which filters the kind of content which can be accessed through this innovative technology. The application is completely free for the passengers and the brand has tied up with, Phantom Films and Reliance as its vested partners and stakeholders, for content licensing.
The company plans to target the travelers who desire to experience premium services through their travel journey and want to stay connected but still saving on huge roaming costs and network fluctuations. Founded by two dynamic first generation entrepreneurs, Gaurav Kapahi & Nishchal Khetarpal, who were previously with HCL Technologies heading tech and marketing verticals.
By 2020, the brand plans to be the leaders in the bus segment and initiate operations in metros, railways and airlines. The brand aims to have visibility in each and every part of the country and is the only choice when it comes to travel entertainment.
